2008 Tour Route Updated

We have finally updated our tour route for the South! Check it out here. This route is still in the beginning stages and I can guarantee that it will change a bit…but at least those of you in these cities can get an idea of when we will be heading your way. We are so excited to get to some warmer weather…we are experiencing a -41 degree wind chill tonight. All the surrounding schools are closed…and we’re dreaming of the beach!

We have at least one contact family/person in all of the cities listed on the route. If you have already contacted us, you should be receiving an email in the next week or so confirming our arrival. If you live in one of the cities listed, but have not contacted us…we’d love to hear from you! We are still in the process of setting up college/churches/events to speak at. Please let us know if you have contacts! We will update events on the site as we confirm them.

See you soon!

  1. If you come back to NC, let me know. I would love to meet you. Also, I could use some help getting my dreadlocks going.

  2. HI Sara!
I didn’t see Statesboro on the list, so I didn’t know if you were still planning to come, or if you were wrapping it together with Savannah. I will definitely come to Savannah if you are just going there, b/c I am really looking forward to meeting you, but if you are coming to Statesboro, then I will work on a contact w/ the university here so maybe you can do some training there?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
(-41 wind chill?! I can’t even comprehend what that would feel like!).

  4. Oh man, -41 is unreal. I’ve never been in weather that cold.

You definitely don’t want to know how warm it is here in Ft. Lauderdale right now. . . .

The WalMart in Savannah is great for boondocking. Good security there. They’ll take your name and plate #s, but it’s only to let the other guards know you’re there. Real nice people.

Florida driving is unreal. I-95 is a nightmare. It’s all torn up. Take the toll road if you can.

Hey, you’ll be going through NM when we are workcamping in Truth Or Consequences, at Riverbend Hot Springs, a groovy little hippie hostel / motel with hot springs along the river. From what we already know about it, the owner would LOVE to have you guys there, and we would too. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll hook ya up!

Can’t wait to know you’re out there again. Good luck!

  5. Morning Sara, Matt and Bella,

Just got your card, Sara. You are so thoughtful. I’ll email you instead of leaving my whole comment here! Look for it!

  6. Hi, Sara -

I suggest you make a point to get to Ft Myers and stop in at ECHO – a Christian service organization specializing in providing appropriate technology and agriculture support to overseas projects. You would enjoy seeing their operation and I think they might be interested in checking out your rig. http://www.echonet.org . Tell them I sent you…

  7. If you happen to land back in Indiana…I would love for you to be guest speakers at the my school for my 3rd grade class (or perhaps the whole school?) :)
