2008 Tour Route Updated

We have finally updated our tour route for the South! Check it out here. This route is still in the beginning stages and I can guarantee that it will change a bit…but at least those of you in these cities can get an idea of when we will be heading your way. We are so excited to get to some warmer weather…we are experiencing a -41 degree wind chill tonight. All the surrounding schools are closed…and we’re dreaming of the beach!

We have at least one contact family/person in all of the cities listed on the route. If you have already contacted us, you should be receiving an email in the next week or so confirming our arrival. If you live in one of the cities listed, but have not contacted us…we’d love to hear from you! We are still in the process of setting up college/churches/events to speak at. Please let us know if you have contacts! We will update events on the site as we confirm them.

Quick Little Update

Hello!
Our visit to NYC was more than wonderful! The people, the sounds, the sights. So great. I just wanted to assure you that I will be posting blogs about Boston, NYC, and beyond as soon as possible…I’m currently working on a slew of photos from those trips, and need a bit of time to process it all. I’ll be posting details about the next couple of stops this week on the “route” page. Stay tuned!

Tour Route Updated

We have been working on updating our route for the East coast…I have posted the most current route here…with dates through December 14. This isn’t set in stone, but we will try very hard to stick to it. We are looking for colleges along the way to host the tour…if you have contacts at a college/university in your area, please let us know!

A big thanks to all of you who are out there getting the word out about Live Lightly…we appreciate it!

Ramping Up for The Tour

Lots of exciting things happening around here! We are very busy planning the first part of the tour…right now we are in Minnesota getting the RV “wrapped” with our logo and our sponsor logos. Photos coming soon! This coming weekend, we will take part in our first “event”…the iRenew Energy Expo in Solon, IA. We are really happy to be going there…it’s been going on for 16 years and there are so many wonderful people/businesses there…and amazing workshops! Come and see us if you are in the area.

We are holding a kick-off party/potluck in Des Moines on Sept. 16 to say goodbye to our family and friends. Our first stop after that will be at the New Pioneer Coop in Coralville, IA on Sept. 17 from 3-8 p.m. Everything else is still in the works…if you are in Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Grand Rapids, or Ann Arbor…don’t worry! We haven’t forgotten you! We will be contacting you in the next week or so with more details.

More big news…we have had more sponsors join the Live Lightly Tour!

We will be sharing more information about them soon…as we launch our new website (which will hopefully be within the next week). Weeeeeee! Lots going on…we are so excited to tell you all about it!

Tour Cities Updated

We have updated our route for the beginning leg of our Tour. We will be adding events/locations within the cities as we go. It’s almost time to hit the road! Weeeee!

Planning the Tour

This week we sent out a “Tour Information Form” to everyone who was in our database (this included anyone who had sent us an email this summer asking to be included). If you are interested in having us stop in your city and did not receive an email, please let me know ASAP (click here to email). We’re trying hard to gather information and finalize the first part of the tour. We’ll be setting dates/cities and then adjusting as we need to while we travel. Due to the nature of traveling full time AND in an RV, there may need to be last minute changes to the schedule.
