However, have you checked into tax implications on veggie oil as fuel? Depending on where you get the oil (restaurants, etc.), you can face stiff taxes and then fines if you don’t pay those taxes. I was telling my husband about your family’s road trip and he asked me to remind you about the taxes, just to make sure you guys have everything planned out. Have fun and good luck!!
